So lets think about this...is it about acting as the person we think we are? Perhaps it's about being the person we've become ie:as a result of our backgrounds, history, conditioning, beliefs & so on.
If we wiped our past & wiped the expectations which linger around us, where do we begin to be who we truly are?
As I contemplate the beginning of me & the becoming of me & the being of me - I realise that at any given point there is no real me.
Dear friends, how much human do we give ourselves permission to be when we are in such a tangle of who we truly are?
How much freedom of choice do I really feel I have? Am I really free to be authentic in the boardroom and in all my relationships? Should I really care what other's may think if I speak my truth? Am I willing to brave any consequences to be in line with my integrity? When people in history have made a stand for what they believe in - how powerful it is. What heroes they become. Yes, they are often punished by the fearful, but how grand it must feel to stand in authentic self. This leadership can be executed with grace and ease in the knowledge that compassion is what is required for those that are unable to do so.
ReplyDeleteI believe that the world is made up of people who do not have the courage to find out who they really are. Fear stops them dead in their track and so they take the easy road. The easy road is to follow the leader. In following the leader they don't need to take responsibility and have the advantage of always blaming others. The more you find out who you are, the more gifted you become. Passion channeled in the right source can create change. Where change is occurring is often a secret. When someone speaks out, many people listen. Who knows what people take home? who knows what seed we plant in people? the mind wants to know, but we only have one ace to work with....trust.....trust ....trust
